I have been coaching writers since my days writing and editing for the Western Gazette in the 1980s. I lead seminars and workshops on good writing practices for community groups, university classes, university faculty and businesses. I provide general advice on concise and effective writing ― from writing emails to news releases and annual reports ― and specifically on writing op-eds. Western University is among my clients. For individuals, I coach writers on how to tell their personal stories, which can be celebratory or traumatic. The writing can be in the form of a short memoir ― 1,000 words or less ― or full length books. I have also launched a book writing program for business owners who want to tell their story. I have experience writing and publishing print books, ebooks and audiobooks with both a major publishing house and through self publication.
